The partial eclipse....

Terry and i both donned 3 pairs of sunglasses so we could have a glimpse of the partial eclipse that took place in North America today!  it was sooo cool.....you could see about a third of the sun blocked by the moon...and the temperature dropped by quite a few degrees!   

We had a wonderful full beach experience today!   This is my second day off in a row....wooo hooo eh!   yesterday i basically read and napped and read and ate...and napped, it was delicious!!!   and it rained and was not a beach day so it was perfect!   but today it was glorious - so we got out of the house early, bags full of lunch, beer, cookies, and other snacks!   Had a fabulous swim in the very wavy ocean.....and read!   i'm engrossed in a great book.....The Painted Kiss...can't remember the author, but it is about Klimt and his many mistresses etc., and of course all the other dramas that artists in those days (and perhaps still!!!) got up to!   I watched the Woman in Gold the other night, of course about Klimt's painting and the struggle of the Austrian family to regain it's ownership!   I loved the movie....and so when i saw a book on a similar subject i downloaded it!

quiche is in the oven and all is well at Big Hill......and guess what - i'm taking tomorrow off too!!!
