What's going on here?

Years ago, when I went on my walk along the lane, there were allotments in this field. Now there's just a load of prickly bushes and no allotments.


….........BUT..................... even now that the allotment field is an overgrown mess.................. why do you think someone has put a load of string over the top of them? It's all very strange?


…...........Pretty sure the string wasn't here the last time I trekked along the lane??!!

What do you think is going on???
