Browned off

Unlike most of the UK, the whole of Southern Europe has been affected by a heat wave which was so severe it got the soubriquet of "Lucifer". The effect of the heatwave is clear to see in Alykes where many of the flowering trees are scorched and these thistle are thoroughly browned off.
