Shades.

The season has been an odd one really with periods of dryness in early summer followed by a cold dreary high summer. Many of my plants seem to be very confused and some are showing signs of autumn already. The worst is that I have lost one of my most spectacular roses which has turned up its toes and died :-( and I have no idea why. See extra picture.

It has also been a bit of an odd one contracting wise too. The season started the earliest I have known for a number of years and has now ground to a halt. As always this is not helpful cash flow wise!

Farming - Rusty out wrapping bales, Joshy and his Dad Gary out hauling bales and Mr Tbay Jnr out sowing grass.

Last evening my brother in lawn lost his car keys whilst out on the tractors ( see yesterday's blip!!) after much searching we decided that they were sadly lost for good. A quick phone call to his wife and a dash to the post office proved very successful as by 10:00 am this morning the keys arrived in the post! Well done Royal Mail.

After a pleasant trip out with mother in lawn and others to see Mr Tbay Jnr working we then had a leisurely lunch before saying goodbye to MIL , brother in law and niece. It has been a lovely 24 hrs with them.

Back to normal now. The office is once no longer a bedroom, the linen is washed and all is back to normal.

Just enjoying a quiet evening watching the women's Rugby World Cup. Go Girls!!!
