The Kings
Up to see the first show at the book festival - AC Grayling talking about the 'Crisis in Democracy' - spellbinding so it was - forty five minutes giving an overview of three thousand years of history peppered with anecdotes and asides, without notes. Jest fabulous.
On to Indigo Yard for brunch and then a bit of shopping for art! When the exhibition opens, our little red dot will be there to view. Then a haircut in some poncey place. Despite being quite a cropper round the back and sides, it finds favour!
So a bit of tattie lifting then present opening. And before we have time for anything other than the smallest sliver of cake, it was off to Tuk Tuk and on to the Kings to see Magnetic Fields doing years 1-25 of their Fifty Songs. Phew. Onward - to Charlotte Church's Disco Dungeon which was a bit shit. Home for the final present opening - I fancied listening to some Pretenders, which I then put on, opened the pressie - a ticket to see the Pretenders - how spooky is that!
