Another Sunbather

This morning was warm and partly sunny. I saw a lot of young lynx spiders sprinkled over the long grass, hoping to catch a late winter meal. Then I saw this beauty- a young female nurseryweb spider.Her body was about 1cm long, but she will grow much bigger. She will also change to dark brown.

This afternoon the long run of mild weather came to an end with a sou’west change. For the first time in several days I have lit the fire.
