Out with the pups

It was a very blowy night which was unsettling as I was worrying about the pots in the garden so I was up early to move them into a more sheltered position . One of the Hanging baskets had blown down but luckily the plants and soil had landed on the bench so it was just a case of popping them back in.
Richard did nt have to work last night but was in again tonight so he was trying to work out when to sleep so after a few hours up this morning he went back to bed until 3.
David had work but was having his photo taken as they are looking back on winners of the competition he won a few years ago and he's supporting this years awards. He needed his posters and books so Mike ran him in and then went to B&Q for some storage boxes.
J picked me up and we went into Inverness to the vets first to pick up some tablets for the pups and then we went for a walk along the shore at North Kessock. The Old Puffer boat was chugging it's way under the bridge. I do nt think it went as far as the Point as the sea was really rough. Lots of blackberries  on the bushes ready for picking and a silvery sea behind them. It was sunny and warm and really pleasant once we were out of the wind. The pups were excited about the new smells but very well behaved.
Back home and a bit of Brownie Prep for tomorrow. A chat with Rich and then Mike was off to collect David.
Cold meat salad for dinner then Richard was off to the gym before work and he took David to a meeting in Inverness. A long day for David as he did nt get back til about 10.30.
The wind calmed down in the afternoon with a few showers of rain but the butterflies have found the buddleia and I can see them from indoors :)
