On His Hind Legs

Walked together up to the Land today, excited to see the effect of the heavy rain yesterday. It does look different, but we've been away a week, and João's (see the mark? his last name must begin with F...) flock of 40 or so sheep have done a great job of trampling down the grass, so it was difficult to know what was them and what was the rain. It will be easier to lop the suckers as well, now they've eaten the leaves - this is a tree I've not done yet.

The main difference were the smells - wet earth after drought, freshness, feels greener already. 

And the brilliant news that permission has been granted to drill the borehole - the well driller said, "no more than 15 days"... We now need to think about electricity...
