My sister and I popped in to Glasgow this morning before heading to visit Dad in hospital this afternoon – he’s making good progress and hoping to get home soon.

We visited the Lost Glasgow photographic exhibition at the Glasgow City Heritage Trust’s offices in Bell Street - very well worth a visit if you’re in the city in the next couple of days (the exhibition finishes on Thursday).

Found some photo opportunities of our own as we had a wander around before grabbing a bite of lunch in the Clutha bar (absolutely delicious and a complete bargain at the price, couldn’t recommend it highly enough).

I really liked all the different lines in this scene looking up Saltmarket towards the Tolbooth Steeple at Glasgow Cross. From the verticals on the Tennent’s Bar window frames on the left, to the lines in the pavement, the paint lines on the road, and then the iron girders under the bridge running at a different angle.

My sister’s blip can be found here.
