Lying Low

or rather lying high.. but flat!!

Saw this little fellow collecting acorns and discarding the remains so went over to see if l could get a good photo... took me a while to find him/her lying as still as can be along the branch.  This was taken with my iphone before l ran inside to get the long lens.  l posted Flossie under the tree so that the squirrel would stay put.. but sadly she abandoned her post to come and find me.. when we returned to the tree the squirrel took off with Flossie in hot pursuit.. the wall stopped Flossie.. the squirrel went free.. and l missed getting a better photo.. ah well l am sure it will be back.  Having said that the oak tree seems not to have many acorns on it this year.. not sure why.
