Jamoosa

AKA the Water Buffalo.

This lady spends her days under the palm trees, in the field next to me. She knows exactly what time her owner is due to collect her and take her back to her home. She stands staring at the footpath, waiting for him to turn the corner. When he arrives, she starts to groan and shake her head. As he leads her towards the edge of the field, she almost skips to the irrigation canal where she can have a drink and a paddle.

Talking of going home, Bob my cat, has gone awol. Despite my efforts over the last 36hrs to find him and staying in all day, in the hope he would return, he hasn't. It seems that Sayed was the last person to see him yesterday morning, as he jumped a wall and disappeared into acres of banana plantations opposite the house.

I do hope he finds his way home tonight.
