Turks Cap......

Summer is slowly turning to fall.  The biggest clue I have is watching my bonsai slow down their growth, they harden off their branches and leaves.  As the daily sunlight lessens, there is impetus to develop new leaves, lengthen their internodes.   Now.....  the trees are turning to making sugars and nutrients for storage in their bark and roots.  This storage is like the squirrels  storing nuts so they can survive during the winter.
I have posted a picture of the Turks Cap.  It has grown larger, fuller and lusher all summer.  It was shipped a little in July.  The primary branches have been been selected and shortened, the secondary  are starting to grow which will be smaller, thinner...  more refined.   I won't do more with this tree this winter.  It will get light during the day and brought into the greenhouse at night as it doesn't like temperatures below 45.    It has been a very good growing season for this tree.
