Electricity Can Kill

One of my electricians was called out to a job today regarding a faulty socket and today's blip is a photo of that socket and what's left of the plug top.

This plug and socket had actually been on fire and thankfully the premises was occupied at the time which under normal circumstances is not good when a fire breaks out but on this occasion the early signs of the socket being on fire was spotted by someone and this was enough for it to be contained before the fire could spread.

Likely cause was a slack cable connection in the plug top which is why electricians go on all the time about the need for electrical inspection and testing in both domestic and commercial premises.

Electricity is very dangerous and it's use has become such a part of life that it can be taken for granted without realising about its hazards.

Please keep up regular maintenance of your electrical system and if in doubt please consult a Professional electrician who in Scotland should be a member of trade organisations SELECT and NICEIC.

Or just contact myself and I can give some free initial advice.

Electricity is dangerous and can kill, please respect it!!!
