Scotney Castle Garden

KarenC and I met at Scotney Castle in Kent for a photo day and a natter. As the weather was reasonable we started off with a walk to the old house saving the main house for when the rain started. We took our time waiting for people to get out of the way taking lots of photos from differing angles to get the reflections in the moat just right. The quarry gardens took their toll so we decided it was time for a coffee but everyone else had the same idea as the rain had started so we went in the house instead.

There was a special display of hats belonging to the Hussey family who owned the property which was interesting. When we'd finished looking round the house the sun had come out so we walked back to the ruins to take more photos. Much as my arthritic legs didn't like walking back up the hill the resulting photos were well worth it so thank you for your encouragement Karen.

After lunch we said arranged our next trip out and said our goodbyes. Just as we were ready to leave there was an almighty rumble of thunder but the rain kindly held off until we were safely back in our cars. A day of good company and great timing.

just noticed this is my 1500th blip!
