Gently down the stream

A great day for clouds

This afternoon at Netley I had a good walk along the shore heading south.  This was by the very unsmart yacht club, where kids were being given sailing lessons, and on the horizon the squarish vessel you can see (left of picture) is the container ship Yang Ming, which I watched slipping fully laden down Southampton Water (on her way back to China?).  The Queen Mary 2 was also in, taking on another payload of cruise passengers.

It was a fun and peaceful time.  In the Royal Victoria Country Park the chapel (which is now all that's left of the military hospital) is undergoing a very grand make-over with the help of Heritage Lottery funding, so you can't get near it.  But the clouds were fantastic and the sun was in and out like a yoyo without a splosh of rain.  Just as well as I didn't take a coat!.

Now I think it must be nearly supper time.  Have a great evening, lovely peeps  xx
