Photographic Poeticisms

Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves
Show glorious shades
As Summer
Retreats and fades
Golden hues
Fill our waking vision
Winters bleak
Warded off by derision
Leafed carpet
In shades beyond count
Pouring forth
From Autumn's fount
Underfoot trodden
Kicked in explosive billows
Settled piles
Mother Nature's pillows
Restful ease
Settles mind's stress
Groaning trees
For Winter's sleep undress
Summer's bright
Green laden vivacity
Replaced now
By Autumn's lethargy
Thoughts defined
In shades of fire and yellow
Drift wistfully
To memories of times mellow
And sinking
Thankfully to brown earth ground
Dormancy, rest
Is, at last, gratefuly found
