We're Sinking!

Well, not really.  We had to undergo a lifeboat drill prior to departing from Reykjavik this evening on board our ship, Regent Navigator.  Everyone had to grab their life jackets and head for their muster station (the theater for us) before being led out onto the deck where (if we were indeed sinking) we would be loaded into the life boats.  It's always amusing to me to see so many people wearing bright orange life vests, and all looking very grumpy!

Otherwise a longish day of waiting around, standing in line, and standing in other lines in order to board the ship.  Then a lengthy wait on the pool deck (about four hours!) before we could access our cabins.  All par for the course, and we weren't phased by it.  It just doesn't make for very interesting photo ops or journal entries!
