Beneath Biscay

Bridge of Sighs

Started the day with the 'Secret' tour of the Doge's (Duke's) palace. It is called a secret tour because it includes visiting certain dungeons and bureaucrats' offices that are not generally accessible.

So we had that guided tour then were left to our own devices to visit the remainder of the palace at our own pace, including the Bridge of Sighs from where the main blip was taken.

Then a lunch consisting of a tasty dish of aubergine cheese and tomato,

Afterwards M and C went to see the Biennale exbibitions. It was quite expensive at €20 per adult and I decided not to. Instead I visited the part of the nearby naval museum that was not closed.
