Our view

We are so lucky to have this view and on a day like today it has been spectacular. This afternoon we put up our new drive-away awning, just to make sure we know what we're doing before we set off later this week.

We had to put the camper in the field in front of our cottage so we could put the awning up and push the pegs into the ground. It was a bit of a hoo-har but we've now got the gist and took it down and got it all back in the bag. Then the fun and games started ..... the camper was stuck in the mud due to the recent rain. We ended up borrowing a tow rope and pulling it out with the Land Rover. And what a noise and smell that made as the clutch worked hard. I'm pleased to report we got the camper off the field and all is well.

At least that is ticked off the list. The
Lists are getting longer and the time I've got it getting less. Ah well. We're off to the Loweswater Show tomorrow. Simon's hoping to make it a hat trick and win the limerick competition for the third year running!

The view by the way is Skiddaw, Carl Side and Dodd.
