A steam train, not a castle

We meant to stop off at Sterling castle on the way back from the Highlands - but ended up catching the Bo'ness and Kineill steam train instead.  This was a pleasant surprise as on every previous visit it was out of action.

The other pleasant surprise was the vast amount of untouched and very ripe for picking blackberry bushes nearby - but don't tell anyone, as they're our favourite pie making fruit.  Yum!

And yes, the guy with the suitcase was doing a "Harry Potter ride" - he'd really tried hard to look like his favourite character, with impressive results. At the other end of the train a carriage had been taken over for a children's birthday party!

This picture was taken at the end of the line - we all got off whilst the train was decoupled and moved to the other end of the carriages, so it could take us back to the start.
