Clan Gregor's slightly unusual cemetery

This is Clan Gregor's cemetery - a man-made peninsula extending out into Loch Katrine.  Although born just along the road at Glengyle House, this isn't (as many used to believe) the place that Rob Roy was buried.  Apparently he was actually buried in Balquhidder churchyard.

Other than being rather pretty, Loch Katrine is also famous for being the source of the water used to manufacture Tennent's Lager.

The Loch has a rather impressive steam ship operating on it - the Sir Walter Scott.  The terminal is great for camping and has one of only two motorhome Aires in Scotland.  You can get the boat to the other end of the loch then walk or cycle back - we cycled.  This picture was taken about half way along the loch.  We didn't stay long as the midges tend to descend on you when you're stationary for too long.
