Life through the lens...

Baht 'at.

A fine, if dull day for our 6.5 mile walk from Burley station over Ilkley Moor to the Cow and Calf rocks and back across the golf course.

May be it was thought of drinks and eats back at J and G's house to celebrate J's 80th birthday that had something to do with the record turnout of 30+ people!

The walk took rather longer than usual, as getting so many people over some of the stiles and through narrow gates took for ever.

Fortunately we didn't meet many walkers coming the other way as the path is quite narrow in places, with lots of boulders to clamber over which makes it single file only.

It is a lovely walk with wonderful views over Ilkley and the hills beyond. However although it stayed dry, it was hazy and the light was poor.
Not good for taking photos.

After a great get together with the birthday girl, we finally got home about 6pm.
Quite a long day as we set off at 9am, but have really enjoyed it.
Just started raining when we got home, so we were really lucky.
