Pair of Goldfinches

For a change I used my biggest zoom lens with one of my SLRs to take these pictures of garden birds this afternoon. As you can see, Goldfinches are quite messy eaters, no wonder the collared doves wander around underneath the bird feeder. In true camera club tradition I have tried to introduce a third element, namely the open feeder hole to balance up the image.
