100 years ago

100 years ago the battle of Passchendaele was being fought near Ypres.  This is a hand made embroidered card sent home by a soldier in the first world war that is showing shells exploding around the burning ruins of St Martin's Cathedral in Ypres.  Simple, but effective and a little sad.
