Glenlivet Estate Walk

As it was our first full day here and a Sunday, we wanted a quiet route well off the tourist route. We found a good walk that suited this on the Glenlivet Estate near Tomintoul up to Carn Daimh.

It took us through forest tracks, farmland and open heather moorland with some stunning views from the top. And it was certainly quiet with only a few walkers and mountain bikers.

The extra has a strange space ship like cloud over the hills?

We came back to the cottage to be met with a series of phone calls from the carers for dad. There had been a serious omission, as no one had been to see him or give him his medication for the last 2 mornings. There now has to be an investigation as to why it's happened. He's been checked over and he seems fine, but it has meant a complete change to his medication administration.

There's not much I can do as I'm 7 hours away, so hopefully they're being a bit more vigilant for the rest of the week until I get home.
