It's official...

...it's autumn...
The clues:
the youngsters have gone back to school;
the leaves on my favourite horse chestnut are turning brown and falling; 
it was wet and windy as I went to have my haircut this morning;
I will be coming home in the dark after the first badminton evening of the season...

I do like autumn - but not the dark nights ;(
