Flaming heck

Here's our lovely hostess for New Year's Eve diligently flambeing chicken for 18. This is the lot of chicken where my advice on turning the extractor fan off was ignored... She sensibly ignored my shouts of 'lean in a bit so I can get you in'.

Fabulous party tonight: the best kind of company, great party house, endless fizz and food, a quiz and a bed at the top of the stairs. Who could ask for more? A happy and fitting end to 2008.
