Through The Archway

I actually had a lie in until 06:30 today! Then spent an hour or so reading blip journals and generally slobbed about until 9. Took Finlay out for his walk and snapped this view of some straw bales through an arch in the hedge…the footpath goes through the hedge at this point.

It is a three shot focus stack….but as it was very windy there are some blurry bits where the software (Photoshop) hasn't been able to line up the elements that have moved between shots!

After coffee we went to Bishop Auckland to see MIL in hospital. She continues to make slow progress … it will be a long road to recovery. At the moment she is speaking a lot more clearly, but cannot remember words or uses completely the wrong words, it is very frustrating.

On the way home we nearly got taken out by an LGV switching to the restricted lane (for vehicles < 6’6” wide) in the roadworks on the A1. It was a British lorry so no excuses. A rapid stop was needed to avoid it, luckily there was nothing behind us. Arrived home in time for a quick walk with Finlay again before starting to cook tea.
