Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Sand, tongues and bones

I started the day with another trip into the dunes, this time in search of the rare sand earth tongue Sabuloglossum arenarium. Much to my delight my search was successful!

Extra. In the afternoon I headed into Aberdeen, to the Maritime Museum to listen to a talk on animal bones from archaeological sites. By the time that I got there the weather had turned wet in the extreme.
