Welsh Sheep

Having a big dog means that no matter what else we do we always get a good walk in whether we're on holiday or not. After all that driving yesterday we left the camper at the site and set off to walk the hill behind us.

Plenty of sheep here in Wales but none as pretty as our Herdwicks in Cumbria. But this one posed nicely for me (actually she was staring at the dog). When I turned around the view before me was pretty spectacular as despite the low cloud there was a great view the full length of Bala lake.

We had lunch at a little railway station and made a spontaneous decision to get the narrow gauge steam train to Bala, about half an hour along the lake. We were planning to do this tomorrow for a little birthday day out but apparently the trains aren't running tomorrow. Despite the persistent showers we loved the train ride and enjoyed a stroll around Bala town.

Meanwhile back at camp we cooked up a prawn curry for dinner and consequently the whole van is smelling like the local takeaway! But who cares? We enjoyed it
