Soldering on...

I am proper shit at soldering. It's one of those things that I wish I was more adept but I just don't use it enough and thus my tools are probably not anywhere near top of the range. In fact my soldering iron is used more for wood burn scoring rather than it's intended purpose.

Anyway, it's not pretty but it functionally works and I'm rather chuffed with my magnet switch on/off mechanism.

Road testing the whole thing prior to final tweaks, adjustments and mounting did elicit very appropriate oohs and ahhs from the kids so I'm on the home straight.
