Sitting Pretty

Mike's brother-in-law (a third culture kid, like myself) paid us a flying visit today, from the UK, just overnight - so very good to have him here and show as much of our life as we can in a few hours. Had lunch at Sr Zé's, a nap, and up to the Land, where Don insisted we had to have a photo on our bunho chairs, so I set the camera up on an upturned cork beehive, and got the three of us, eventually.

Quick tintinho at the Adega, and over to Monsaraz, where they were setting up for a festa. Sat on the wall and watched the moon come up again - so red, though obscured by clouds at first. Then off to Sem Fim, our favourite restaurant, where the chocolate mousse lived up to expectations, and the conversation ranged widely.

Plus, had such a productive morning, including - at last! - registering as citizens of Mourão - only taken us over seven months of constant (patient) hassling. And we now have a postbox, number 25...
