A dash of colour

A dash of colour on a very rainy day, for Flower Friday with thanks to Anni/BikerBear.

More boxes unpacked, yesterday it was unsettling correspondence between the grandparents and my father, all three in different PoW camps, letters sent via the Red Cross, not knowing if they would ever arrive or if the addressees were alive. Frantic letters sent from family in liberated Holland to Java , also via the Red Cross, wanting to know if they were still alive. Goosebumps stuff. But also stuff to treasure and maybe to record, donate to archives.

Today it was my own correspondence as a teenager, my poems , doodles and text, teenage angst. Hearts were broken, mine and others.
What a difficult time, those teenage years !

In between the sorting of the boxes DJ and I went to the physiotherapist and came back with exercises and a plan to strengthen his shoulder and my knee.

Thanks very much for your kind comments, star and even faves for yesterday's abstract canopy of leaves
