Tea Brewing!

Backblip as no wifi yesterday!

John and I spent the day at Goodwood Revival. This is a big event and regarded by many as the highlight of their year!  It is a time to go with nostalgia and here you will see vintage and classic vehicles racing. It was fascinating to see these extremely valuable and sacred cars almost run into the ground.  There are many support stands and facilities - this one is a couple of ladies running a tea stall and entering into the spirit of the occasion.

I enjoyed the day very much although it was extremely busy.  Parking is in fields adjacent and there had been a lot of rain the day before.  This meant soft ground already churned up by Friday's visitors to the event. The tracks for cars to exit the car park were a sea of mud and several vehicles were getting stuck - we just about managed to get out!

I hate to think what it will be like tomorrow when the 3-day event ends and absolutely everything is leaving - I think there will be many playing 'stick-in-the-mud'!

We went on to Saltdean where I had booked an AirB&B for the night. It was lovely, very comfortable and just right for tomorrow's trip to Beachy Head.  No wifi so no blip, especailly as the place where we eventually found something to eat, had no idea of the concept -  a backblip it will have to be!
