MonoMonday: Favorite Poem

As long as I can remember, I've loved poetry. Reciting them in the school programs or when the relatives gathered was my lot as a child, and even later.
What a delight then to find out that one of my husband's giftings is being a poet. 
He wrote poems to me long before 
I understood English well enough to make sense of them. 
My favorite one is very short:

Dappled sunshine on forest floor
beckons me...
I beckon you.
