TINY TUESDAY: SMALL WHITE BUTTERFLY

Well for once I'm handing out bouquets to a local council! I called Colchester Borough Council on behalf of Mum yesterday morning, to discuss the large dead willow tree right on the corner of our front boundary. The highways department chap called me back within a couple of hours to say that, although the tree was on unregistered land at the end of the cul-de-sac, the council would take responsibility for felling it at their expense. While we were out for lunch today with my sister and niece, contractors arrived to do the work and had nearly finished by the time we got back! How's that for a fast response?! Maybe the council were worried the tree might be blown over by Storm Aileen and hurt somebody on their road - anyway, we're very happy indeed!
