Beside Blinkbonny

Out to visit the aunt and her increasingly absent partner, dear old Fred. He'd like to absent himself a lot more, sadly, wanting to go home every evening when of course that's exactly where he is. Still auntie S and I had good chats - including filling me in on some parts of her early life and solving the mystery of my mum's flight from Castle Douglas.
Home and out again - up to the Filmhouse to see Detroit which I really loved - a compelling watch and some great cinematography. Some parts felt very authentic - but the central part is quite an ordeal, understandably enough.
So, to the Diggers for chinwaggery and we four cyclists were joined by AJ, the Prof, and Jane and Will - the latter the expert on the Victorian Breakwater. So we were never going to be short of interesting chat if there was no more football to discuss….
