Ennui au soleil

The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new.

I spend a second day in the empty campsite. The café/restaurant in the village is closed today, so I drink a coffee in the épicerie. I buy a popsicle and stuff it down my sock to chill my ankle. I keep my leg elevated. I read. I listen to the radio. I move between shade and sun. The wind blows.

I'm leaving tomorrow. Whatever.
