Flower Friday . . .Bird of Paradise

Something a little more exotic than my usual Friday flower.  This is from a neighbour's garden.  She is in Western Australia viewing the wild flowers.  I hope she takes pictures.  While doing a security check I picked it and brought it home.  I put it in an old gin bottle (as you do) and it now brightens up my kitchen.  The warm weather didn't last and we are back to wind and rain.  Wishing you all a happy weekend.
