Hidden Details

The current decorating task has included E stripping the multiple layers of paint off the back door.  Most recently it had been painted black but clearly red has featured in the past.

At some point some [person] has filled over the original moulding details of the underlying carpentry, which leaves me with a dilemma.  Given time, I'd clean these out and restore them; however, time is not a given.
