Cloud Chasing

I always used to think of September as a quiet month for weather, a respite from an often damp and sticky August before a wet and windy October. That seems to hold true no longer. There was a lot of weather today, like so many days so far this month. I've discovered that the best way to avoid the worst of the showers is to head straight towards the darkest clouds. By the time you get there, they've over somewhere else.

You should have seen what it looked like behind me here, but the foreground wasn't so pretty. The roads were sluicing with water in places. I met various people who had got soaked and hit by hailstorms even, but I remained entirely dry. Result!
