A Day Worth Recording

Perryfall

Back in the early days here, when cutting back the undergrowth, the garden retaliated by occasionally dropping a small pear on us.  We had no idea where the tree was at the time - which added rather to the frustration.

Many hackings and burnings later we know exactly where the tree is and it is very much happier and now dropping very large numbers of useless pears.

These are perry pears apparently; made into a cider variant around here. At about the size of a small golf ball, that's about all they're good for. Might try to remember to take one along to the Autumn Show for more precise identification.
