Mask

Who is that masked man?

The loyal reader of this journal may recall Bradford City's full back Adam Chicksen was knocked out in a nasty clash of heads ten minutes into the opening game of the season. He suffered a fractured cheek in that incident, which means that since he's been back in the team he's been sporting this fine mask.

City returned to Valley Parade after a successful couple of games on the road. Today's visitors were Yorkshire neighbours Rotherham United, back in League One after a few seasons in the Championship. City started brightly and took a deserved lead mid-way through the first half. Thereafter the game evened out. For long stretches Bradford sat back, but they also had several clear chances to score a second goal. Rotherham pressed but were denied by some fine goal-line blocks and clearances. 1-0 it finished, lifting City to third in the table.
