Golf highs

Poppydog and I had the usual walk through pine afforestation this morning; it's a strangely dead feeling along there, everything muffled and the potential views hidden. Big tractors and their trailers have turned parts of the track very muddy so quite tricky in places.
Talking of tricky, LH and I played the Church Stretton golf course this afternoon, high up on the Long Mynd. Stonking views (the blip is one of many I took but really needed a decent camera to do it justice), steep hills (health warning!) and the realisation that we most definitely should've used carry bags; push trolleys were a liability in places and very hard work. The course maintenance team were all very handsome and totally unbothered by idiots with golf sticks; just sat and chewed and pooed like usual ;-)
Unfortunately, I lost the round and so had to cook tea as that was the deal. Hmmm must try harder next time!!!
