There must have been an election?

Out goes the rather rotund, red, filter; so MANY years old I can't remember if it was bought before or after we married.
( He might know.) It did its job exceeding well but was a bit awkward to set up; it was achieved by sucking on the syphon tube, then maintaining the open end at about wine surface level while attaching to filter. The next task was to find how to balance/secure said filter above the receiving vessel.
Enter the rather austere, slimmed down looking blue Tory.
Apparently I can now set it all up and then suck at the tap, closing it off once flow commences. There also, now seems to be a few  different grades of filters.
The outgoing "Filtabrite"© are both quite thick and slow.
The new one arrived accompanied by a number of pads; which are listed a la Eric Morecambe ("NOT necessarily in the right order")  2 "trial Pads" labelled "Pre-treatment" (Mm. thick); 2 "Filtabrite" as per above (quite thick); 2 relatively thin trial pads labelled "Crystalbrite" ; 5 labelled "Coarse grade"; and finally Cyril, 5 thin "Premium grade."
DUH?!?!?

P.S.
Take a last look at Hazel Dene.
:¬(
NOW I know they were lying.
I went out some time ago, hunting Leeks, Kale & Brussels. I had a 33.333% success rate in that I did get Brussels, albeit a wee bit past their best. The others "might be in later on."
"Later on" I phoned & "they" were still unsure.
Having since been informed by Jerra houses were scheduled for that site: Today I went out there to check
1. NO leeks, Kale, or any other form of edible entity for that matter.
2. It was confirmed the houses were to be built. NOT a clue as to time scale, but it may yield a much later Blip.
