Scaffold View

The people across the road are having the roof of their house re-slated and I looked out of my window this morning to find the scaffolders at work. It always amuses me to see the perspective in situations like this – they look so much higher than they actually are because of the hills in the background. 

The problem with this particular house is that it was originally the coach house for the large house just down the road and I don’t think they made coach houses to the same standard as houses. It was certainly looking as if it could do with a new roof. There may be more pictures like this once the roofers begin work.  

Looks like that's it for the summer - the chimney has been swept and the stove is on.
