Lost in Thought

Autumnal Red

In the week were were away the autumn really does seem to have come much closer.  Our front lawn now has plenty of brown leaves scattered about and the tops of the trees are a distinctly reddish tinge.

Today we had cavity wall insulation installed, most of our neighbours have it and as no-one is reporting problems with damp we decided to go ahead ... Three bedroom detached houses like ours are not particulalry thermally efficient and as we have LPG heating, there was a subsidy available too :-)
Impressed with the installer's work rate too - not exactly a good day for working outside but it didn't appear to bother him.
Being around the house has left little time for blip, but after the work was done a brief burst of sunlight fell on Gill's Japanese Maples, so they have come to the rescue for today.

Interesting responses to the Blip consultation survey results,  particularly around blipping on the day.  Worth reading if you have a few minutes.

I'm definitely in the flexibility/leeway camp, as my work pattern often precludes taking a photo and editing/uploading it all on the same day .... and I'm not too worried about using a photoshop practice exercise as a blip even if I didn't take all of the source photos myself ... hope that's not too heretical for my followers :-)

Back to work tomorrow - so an 05:30 start :-(
