Kemback Old Church

This ruined church was built in 1583 and was replaced by the present church which was built in 1814. The graveyard is beside the old church and I enjoyed having a browse round some of the old gravestones.

One stone against the church wall is in memory of a Lt General who died more than 100 years before I was born and it appears that some of his family also went on to have illustrious careers.

Unfortunately the sun that shone all morning while I was working decided to hide behind grey skies - typical !
