Survivors

These apples survived Storm Ali which struck large parts of the country with gale force winds 4 days ago.

At the height of it apples were falling from the tree as I attempted to pick them fearing they would all end up on the ground.

My neighbours thought I was mad going up a step ladder in these winds - they were probably correct !

Yikes - just put my foot up on the stool at the computer when I spied this arachnid !! It is the time of year for these males to come in and look for a mate.
