Jungle

In something of a contrast to yesterday's 17th century neatness, here's a riot of greenery at the allotment - picked a couple of courgettes (the last ones, surely) and another sack-full of runner/French beans. I planted the precious garlic clove that arrived yesterday from Welsh chilli afficianado friend in the hope that it brings forth progeny. He also sent a variety of French bean seeds with amazing names - but I'll save them for quiet blip-days......

Dealt with about half of the sack of runner beans (blanching and freezing some, eating others) whilst cooking what's probably the last shabdeg of the year (with the last of the turnips). Felt more than somewhat knackered.
